Attack Volleyball Club Highlights College Athlete, Lauren Gausselin

By Pam Campbell, 10/10/19, 11:45AM CDT

What a beginning... Lauren started playing volleyball at age 10 with Orland Youth Association (OYA). While playing,  Lauren was noticed by Pam Campbell, Club Director with Attack VBC, and, at age 11, joined the Attack Volleyball Club. Lauren played through middle school at Jerling while continuing to play club volleyball at Attack; an age group higher until high school.

Once in High School, Lauren beat out 37 others at Sandburg, trying out for a defensive position on the freshman team. Lauren was  named starting libero for the freshman A team which culminated with her earning the honor of Defensive Player of the Year!  Lauren played at Sandburg as a DS/Libero through her senior year and chose to sign on as libero and attend Moraine Valley.

As the starting libero as a freshman, Lauren finished #3 in the country in digs with 600 and #6 in the country in service aces with 80.  As a team, the Cyclones finished 10th in the nation.  This is Lauren's second year at Moraine playing again as the starting libero. So far, with the help of Lauren's awesome passing, the Cyclones remain undefeated in conference play at 13-0 and Lauren is currently ranked #3 in digs/set & #8 in aces/set in the Nation!  Definitely... NOT the end of her story.
