For the past 7 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many of our customers from around the country. Whether it’s at our User Group events, in the Community Forum, or here in the main office, connecting with fellow administrators on not only how we are all running our programs, but of course, how to best use SportsEngine HQ to accomplish that, is incredibly rewarding. 

See, in addition to working here at SportsEngine, I coach, am on a few local youth sports boards, am commissioner of a pretty large pond hockey tournament, and parent of two athletes. Every single day I’m using SportsEngine. So, it’s not a surprise that I get asked quite a bit “how do I do this?”

The truth is, I’m not always 100% sure how to answer. The deeper truth is I learn so much from people across the country and there’s not always a “right way” to use SportsEngine. 

With that said, the most common question, or opening to a conversation I have is, “I’m new to this, and am not even worried about the advanced stuff, but where do I get started?”

With that in mind, we got together with a few others to put together the definitive roadmap to success. We wanted to create a checklist, laid out on a timeline, to help anyone new (or old) to SportsEngine HQ prepare for their next season. 

This isn't going to be one of those, “wait for the payoff” kind of things. In fact, here's the final Roadmap to Success. But over the course of the next month or two, we're going to put together some articles walking through each phase, outlining what you should be considering, what you should be working on, how to do it in SportsEngine, and include a few tips along the way.
