How many of us can wake up every morning and truly say we love our job? Pam Campbell can honestly say after 25 years, she still feels this way. In 1999 the vision was set in motion with a small group of children in the city of Blue Island, Illinois. This group would be just the beginning to an incredible journey that would help Pam realize her dreams.
Pam Campbell was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago in a fairly lower income family. Although money wasn’t always available to do all the extracurricular activities in which some of her friends were able to participate, her role models within the family structure encouraged her to believe success would come with hard work. Throughout her childhood she was especially interested in sports, structure, and persistence because she knew that it was the only way to help her achieve success and personal gratification. The encouragement from her family to become a winner drove Pam to excel in sports (primarily volleyball, basketball and softball). Her successes in basketball and softball culminated in a scholarship to Lewis University. Pam earned a degree from Lewis University in Athletic Training and Communications with a minor in P.E.
Soon after graduation and a few instrumental sports related jobs, she realized no obstacle would be too tough or would be able to slow her down in her efforts to achieve ultimate success. From her initial coaching positions at St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale, Most Holy Redeemer in Evergreen Park, and later as Head Varsity Coach for the Richards Bulldogs boys team, she always displayed good work ethics. She knew the importance of learning every aspect of the job so that everything was done with precision and professionalism.
Today, Pam currently coaches and directs her teams and coaches with the same passion she had 25 years ago. She strives to encourage and mentor young athletes to live out their dreams. She believes everyone needs to be able to “Wake Up Every Day Loving What We Do!”
